Recently, I finished a video by saying, “Baseball Doesn’t Get Easier, You Get BETTER!!!” That advice holds true for most things in life. In order to improve, a new skill set is required. With that skill set comes experience, understanding, and development, among others. The fastest and truest way to improve, is to play against better competition. This dynamic exposes your personal developmental needs on hyper-speed. Then it is time to get to work.

Stay Focused
What you need to know, is that the best of the best will close the gap faster. Those who don’t have the patience nor aptitude for improvement, will be frustrated and eventually give up. When you desire to get better, you have to stay with it. There is an adjustment period and learning curve to everything. Therefore, allow yourself to stumble, fall, and get up on your own 2 feet, under your own power. Because when you stay the course and begin to see the improvements happening, along with newfound successes, this game gets very, VERY addictive!!! Then you get real serious about your work ethic! Gotta love it!!
If the game does feel too easy, you have to level up.

Be Patient
The maturation process also aids in your advancement in this great game. Baseball is a sport that rewards late bloomers. If you are a high school pitcher, or even early on in college, and you see yourself stuck as others are passing by you, it’s not a permanent status. They just matured earlier. That’s all it is! When you keep working hard as you grow into your body, you are going leap frog a lot of your peers…and critics!

Keep in Mind…
This game doesn’t owe you anything. It doesn’t owe me anything. It doesn’t owe any Cy Young Award winners anything. Therefore, keep this in mind:
Those who understand the need to get better are Hungry!
They take action with a game plan and make things happen, for themselves and others.
Sadly, those who think the game is supposed to get easier, are complacent and entitled.
Consequently, who do you think will succeed???
Keep Dominating!!!
